We look forward to seeing you online!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>LET 2021 Organizing Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Conference Theme<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Adjacent Technologies and Their Future Possibilities for Foreign Language Education<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Keynote Speakers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>TBA<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Important Dates<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Opening for Proposal Submission: <strong>March 15<\/strong><\/li><li>Submission Deadline (proposal abstract): <strong>April 25<\/strong> (no later than 23:59 (JST))<\/li><li>Notification of Acceptance (by mail): <strong>May 1<\/strong><\/li><li>Deadline for withdrawal of presentation: <strong>May 10<\/strong><\/li><li>Electronic Proceedings Paper Due: <strong>May 31<\/strong><\/li><li>Draft Program Available on the Website: <strong>mid-June<\/strong><\/li><li>Deadline for registration: <strong>July 31<\/strong><\/li><li>Conference: <strong>August 9-11<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2>Conference fees:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>2,000 yen (students: 1,000 yen)<ul><li>(Required to register for the conference from June 1 to July 31)<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2>Presentation Categories<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>LET 2021 encourages the following types of submissions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Research presentation: Oral\/poster presentation of theoretical or empirical research in the areas of foreign language learning, SLA (second language acquisition), language science, or related areas.<\/li><li>Classroom report: Oral\/poster presentation relating to the teaching methodology and\/or materials developed for foreign language learning, or development\/utilization\/assessment of systems.<\/li><li>Symposia: Symposia consist of a set of thematically focused presentations on a particular topic.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2>Presentation Methods<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column\" style=\"flex-basis:100%\">\n<ul><li>All oral presentations will be live-streamed using a Zoom conference at a designated time during the conference.<\/li><li>Poster presentations will be accepted and 60 min. core-meeting time with oVice.<\/li><li>Live-Streamed presentations (30 minutes including Q&amp;A via Zoom)<\/li><li>Symposium (100 minutes presentations)<\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2>Guidelines for submission<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The proposal is to be received no later than 23:59 (JST), April 25, 2022. Presenters should include their IALLT ID, contact information (name, affiliation, telephone, and fax number, address, and e-mail address), presentation categories, title, abstract, and keywords. The proposal should be made via Call for Papers form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Submission must meet the guidelines below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u3010Applicant Requirement\u3011<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(1) Prospective presenters (both representative presenters and collaborators) must be IALLT or LET members at the time of submission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u3010Contents of Proposal\u3011<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(2) The proposal has never been published or presented previously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u3010Title\u3011<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(3) The presentation title must be in English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u3010Abstract\u30fbKeywords\u3011<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(4) The abstract should contain the following contents: the significance of the study, research question(s), hypothesis, procedure, methods of analysis, participants, results, and pedagogical implications. As for \u201cClassroom reports \/ Application reports\u201d, the abstract should contain the following contents: the backgrounds of the present report (including past practices), participants, outline of the present practice, and other relevant information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(5) All types of presentations must be presented in English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(6) The abstract must be approximately 400 words long in English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(7) Presenters must list 5 keywords. The keywords must be written in English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-white-background-color has-text-color has-background\" style=\"font-size:24px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.j-let.org\/let2022\/call_for_papers\/submission_form\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.j-let.org\/let2022\/call_for_papers\/submission_form\/\"><strong>Submission Form for IALLT Members<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Ethical Issues<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Individuals participating in the research\/surveys\/investigations\/experiments should be described as \u201cparticipants\u201d (not \u201csubjects\u201d).<\/li><li>Presenters should protect the confidentiality of the participants and identifying information should not be made available in the abstract.<\/li><li>Presenters should avoid the use of inappropriate or discriminatory words or expressions.<\/li><li>Be sure not to mention the specific names of associations\/affiliations\/commercial products unless necessary.<\/li><li>Be sure not to violate copyright or other rights.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we would like to invite you to take part in the 61st LET Annual Conference which will take place August 9-11, 2022.
