Greetings and Special Thanks from the Chair

WorldCALL participants,

Thank you all for coming to WorldCALL 2008 in Fukuoka, Japan and making our conference this year such a memorable event. We hope you all found the presentations engaging and useful, that along the way you made some new friends, and that you had a safe journey home after the conference.

I must also sincerely thank the local organisers for such a great job, all those in the LET organisation who contributed so magnificently to the success of the conference and all members of the conference planning committee. This was surely a team effort and it was very heartening to see all these folks working together with one aim, to ensure the conference was well-organised and went off smoothly.

Now, we must look forward to the next WorldCALL in 2013. Don't forget the deadline for the WorldCALL book extended abstract is 1 October; and guidelines for those organisations or universities wishing to submit a bid for WorldCALL in 2013 will be posted on the website by 1 November .

In the meantime, all the WorldCALL organisers extend their very best wishes to you wherever you may be around the globe.

Mike Levy
Chair, WorldCALL 2008
