By Bus

• Depending on which is closer to you, go to either Bus Stop 2A or 2B at the front of the Tenjin Solaria Stage Building天神ソラリアステージ前or Bus Stop 3 <Tenjin Kita(3) 天神北(3)> near the Futata Building facing the Mina Tenjin Building.
• Catch Bus No. 80 (Central Wharf 中央埠頭 - bound). Here are Bus 80’s typical weekday morning departure timetables from Bus Stop 2A/2B at Tenjin Solaria Stage-mae and from Bus Stop 3 near the Futata Building.
• The one-way fare for adults for either bus is ￥180, and the ride takes about 12-14 minutes. Here’s a list of the stops along the way.
• Get off at the Kokusai Kaigijo Sun Palace-mae国際会議場サンパレス前 stop. Be careful not to get off one stop too early – The stop just before yours has a similar sounding name, “Kokusai Center Sun Palace-mae 国際センターサンパレス前”, but is a longer walk (about 5 minutes) to the FICC. Listen for “Kaijo” and not “Center”.

• Just to be sure, ask the bus driver to inform you when you’ve arrived at the closest stop to the Congress Center (“Kokusai-kaigijo” in Japanese).

By Taxi

• The recommended mode of transportation is by bus; however, if you choose to use a taxi, the fare may run you at least ￥1000, depending on traffic conditions and time of the day. A taxi ride to the Fukuoka International Congress Center would take between 10 to 12 minutes. Taxi fares increase by 20% between the hours of 11 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Venue Notes

• Aug. 6th, 2008: Events will be held throughout the day from 8:00 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. That evening, starting at 7:00 p.m., the Welcoming Reception be held at Seinan University’s Cross Plaza 西南学院大学クロスプラザ. It is not within walking distance, so you’ll have to ask the Reception Table staff for detailed information on how to get there.
• Aug. 7th, 2008: Events will be held throughout the day from 8:30 a.m. to 6:20 p.m. That evening, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., a dinner cruise through Hakata Bay is scheduled – See the Reception Staff for details.
• Aug. 8th, 2008: Events will be held throughout the day from 8:30 a.m. to 5:40 p.m.
• Please ask the Reception Staff at the venue for details of the location of various events.
