By Subway

• Take the subway from Nishijin station. Purchase ticket for 320 yen (to Fukudai-mae 福大前) from a ticket vending machine.
• Take an east-bound train for either Fukuoka Kuko (Airport) 福岡空港 or Kaizuka 貝塚
• Here’s a weekday timetable for east-bound trains from Nishijin.
• You will be changing trains at Tenjin. Tenjin is the 4th stop from Nishijin, and it will take you 7 minutes. From there, you’ll have to transfer to a Nanakuma Subway Line 七隈線.
• THE TRANSFER: When exiting Tenjin Subway Station, be sure you use the GREEN “transfer” ticket gate. Don’t forget to pick up your ticket again as you pass through the ticket gate. There should be signs in English indicating the location of the transfer ticket gate, along with signs leading you in the direction of Tenjin-Minami 天神南 Station on the Nanakuma Line. Be sure to keep your ticket with you.
• Walk 5-10 minutes through the Tenjin Undergroud Shopping Mall, for about 550 meters. After 5-10 minutes, you’ll see Tenjin-Minami Station on your left. You have 120 minutes to transfer using the ticket you bought. Insert your ticket into the ticket gate, take it again as you walk through, then proceed to the platforms.
• Take any train. Here’s a weekday timetable for trains bound for Hashimoto 橋本
• Fukudai-mae 福大前 is the 10th stop from Tenjin-minami (16 minutes).
• When you arrive at Fukudai-mae station, use exit #1. Fukuoka University campus is on your left.

• If you take a taxi from Seinan University to Fukuoka University, the daytime fare is around 1500 yen and will take 20-30 minutes.
• Rates increase 20% between hours of 23:00 and 5:00
