Traveling from the International Congress Center to Fukuoka University:

By Bus

  • Get on a bus at Kokusai Kaigijo Sun Palace-mae (国際会議場サンパレス前); open this map to see the bus stop's precise location.
  • The one-way fare for adults as far as all Tenjin bus stops is ¥180 and takes about 10-12 minutes.
  • Here are the weekday departure schedules for Buses 55, 151, and 152, all of which will take you to the Tenjin area.
  • Get off the bus at Tenjin Daimaru-mae(4) (天神大丸前(4)).
  • Take a subway entrance and follow the signs coded in green for the Nanakuma line.
  • You should arrive at Tenjin-Minami Station in a few minutes. Purchase a ticket for ¥290, insert your ticket into the ticket gate and make your way to the platforms.
  • Tenjin-Minami is the first station on the Nanakuma-line, so board the train all other passengers are seated on.
  • Fukudai-mae is ten stops from Tenjin-Minami or a 16-minute ride. Just keep your eyes on the lit-map indicator above the train doors to let you know where your next stop will be.

  • Exit Fukudai-mae Station and you’ll find yourself immediately at the Main Gate (West Entrance) to Fukuoka University.
