By Bus

• Get on a bus at the “Hakatako Kokusai Terminal & Chuo Futo 博多港国際ターミナル中央ふ頭” stop which is just in front of the International Port Terminal.
• The one-way fare for adults as far as all Tenjin bus stops is ￥180 and takes about 12 minutes.
• Here are the weekday departure schedules for Buses 55, 151, and 152, all of which will take you to Tenjin.
• Get off the bus at Tenjin Kita(9) (天神北（9）) bus stop. Walk south for about 200m until you see signs for a subway entrance.
• Find a subway ticket machine, and purchase a ￥250 ticket (to Nishijin 西新) from an automated subway ticket vending machine. Instructions are also in English.
• You’ll need to line up on the platform whose trains are headed west (Meinohama – Karatsu 姪浜・唐津方面) and not east (Fukuoka Airport 福岡空港). Here’s a weekday timetable for west-bound trains.
• Take any west-bound train. Nishijin is 4 stops from Tenjin and a 7-minute ride.
• When you arrive at Nishijin Station, use exit #1 and go up to the ground level and walk straight to Wakiyamaguchi intersection. You will see Shuyukan High School in front of you. Turn right and walk towards the sea until you reach the first traffic lights (as you walk, the high school will be on your left). It’s about a 5-minute walk. You will see red-bricked buildings on your right. This is the East Campus of Seinan Gakuin University. A map of the Seinan area is here.
• If you are going to the Civic Forum (Aug 5th), You need to go to the West Campus. Turn left at the traffic lights and walk straight for 50 meters. Then you will see an eight-story white building (Building #2) on your right. This is where the first session of the Civic Forum will be held. The building is opposite the university library.
• If you’re going to the second session of the Civic Forum (Aug 5th), when you see Building #2 keep walking straight to the next corner. You will see the University Chapel on your right. The main entrance is on the other side of the building.
• If you are going to the Welcome Reception (Aug 6th), Cross Plaza is in the East campus. Enter the two-story building near the traffic lights. The first floor of the building is a cafeteria. Proceed to the second floor.

By Taxi

• The daytime taxi fee to get from Hakata Port to Seinan University would run you close to ￥3000 (not using the City Expressway), and the ride would take about between 20-30 minutes. Rates increase 20% between the hours of 23:00 and 5:00.

Important Note

• On August 6th, starting at 7:00 p.m., the Welcoming Reception will be held at Seinan University’s Cross Plaza 西南学院大学クロスプラザ.
• Arrangements have been made for all WorldCALL guests to be taken by chartered bus to the reception from the International Congress Center, so please DO NOT take public transportation. Further details will be available after you arrive at the conference venue.
