Traveling from Hakata Port to Airport (International):
By Bus and Train
- Get on a bus at the “Hakatako Kokusai Terminal & Chuo Futo 博多港国際ターミナル中央ふ頭” stop which is just in front of the International Port Terminal.
- The one-way fare for adults as far as Hakata Station is ¥220 and takes about 20 minutes.
- Here are the weekday departure schedules for Buses 11, 19 and 50, all of which will take you to Hakata station.
- The buses all continue past the station, so just to be sure, ask the bus driver to inform you when you’ve arrived at Hakata Eki (Station).
- At Hakata station, take stairs or escalators down to the subway level.
- Purchase a ticket for 250 yen. As you walk through the ticket gate, place your ticket in the slot and be sure to pick it up again after you walk through.
- Catch an eastbound train headed for the domestic terminal, which is just two stops away.
- As you exit the ticket gate, place your ticket in the slot and walk through (your ticket is not returned to you).
- Take the escalators or stairs up to ground level.
- Next, follow these instructions to get to the international terminal.
By Taxi
- The recommended mode of transportation is by bus; however, if you choose to use a taxi, the fare should run you at least ¥1800, depending on traffic conditions and time of the day. A taxi ride to the international terminal will probably take you between 20-30 minutes. Taxi fares increase by 20% between the hours of 11 p.m. and 5 a.m.
