By Subway

• Take the Subway from Fukudai-mae station. Purchase a ticket for 290 yen (to Tenjin-Minami 天神南） from a ticket vending machine.
• Take a train bound for Tenjin-Minami 天神南. Tenjin-Minami is ten stops from Fukudai-mae and the last stop. It’s a 16-minute ride.
• Tenjin-Minami Station is directly connected to Tenjin Underground Shopping Mall. To find an exit close to your destination, use this map (in Japanese).
• If you’re not sure how to get to your destination from Tenjin-Minami Station, ask the Subway staff, or go to Tourist Information Plaza Tenjin. To find the Information Plaza, after exiting the ticket gate, keep walking straight until you see the Tenjin Underground Shopping Mall to your right. Keep walking straight to enter the Mitsukoshi Department Store. You will find yourself at the B2 floor of Mitsukoshi. Look for an elevator in front of you to your right. Take the elevator to the ground level. There is also a staircase next to the elevator.
• On the ground level, enter Mitsukoshi and walk through the whole building. The first floor of Mitsukoshi is consisted of three blocks. After the third block, you will find the Information Plaza and a Police Box next to each other on the other side of a water fountain.

• The daytime taxi fare from Fukuoka University to Tenjin is around 2150 yen. Rates increase 20% between the hours of 23:00 and 5:00.
