By Subway

• Take the Subway from Fukudai-mae station. Purchase a ticket for 320 yen (to Nishijin西新) from a ticket vending machine
• Take a train bound for Tenjin-Minami 天神南. Tenjin-Minami is the 10th stop from Fukudai-mae and the last stop. It’s a 16-minute ride.
• From there, you’ll have to transfer to a Kuko (Airport) Line Subway 空港線.
• THE TRANSFER: When exiting Tenjin-Minami Subway Station, be sure you use the GREEN “transfer” ticket gate. Don’t forget to pick up your ticket. There should be signs in English indicating the location of the transfer ticket gate, along with signs leading you along the way to Tenjin Station on the Kuko Line. Be sure to keep your ticket with you.
• Walk 5-10 minutes through the Tenjin Underground Shopping Mall, for about 550 meters. After 5-10 minutes, you’ll see Tenjin Station. You have 120 minutes to transfer using the ticket you bought. Insert your ticket into the ticket gate and proceed to the platforms.
• Take a west-bound train (trains bound for Meinohama-Karatsu 姪浜-唐津). Here’s a weekday timetable for west-bound trains from Tenjin.
• Nishijin 西新 is 4 stops away (7 minutes).
• When you arrive at Nishijin Station, use exit #1 and go up to the ground level and walk straight to Wakiyamaguchi intersection. You will see Shuyukan High School in front of you. Turn right and walk towards the sea until you reach the first traffic lights (as you walk, the high school will be on your left). It’s about a 5-minute walk. You will see red-bricked buildings on your right. This is the East Campus of Seinan Gakuin University. A map of the Seinan area is here.
• If you are going to the Civic Forum (Aug 5th), You need to go to the West Campus. Turn left at the traffic lights and walk straight for 50 meters. Then you will see an eight-story white building (Building #2) on your right. This is where the first session of the Civic Forum will be held. The building is opposite the university library.
• If you’re going to the second session of the Civic Forum (Aug 5th), when you see Building #2 keep walking straight to the next corner. You will see the University Chapel on your right. The main entrance is on the other side of the building.
• If you are going to the Welcome Reception (Aug 6th), Cross Plaza is in the East campus. Enter the two-story building near the traffic lights. The first floor of the building is a cafeteria. Proceed to the second floor.

By Taxi

• If you take a taxi from Fukuoka University to Seinan University, it should cost you around 1650 yen and will take 20-30 minutes.

Important Note

• On August 6th, starting at 7:00 p.m., the Welcoming Reception will be held at Seinan University’s Cross Plaza 西南学院大学クロスプラザ.
• Arrangements have been made for all WorldCALL guests to be taken by chartered bus to the reception from the International Congress Center, so please DO NOT take public transportation. Further details will be available after you arrive at the conference venue.
