Step One: Go downtown by subway.

• Follow the signs that will lead you to the subway station. Purchase a ticket for 250 yen. As you enter the ticket gate, place your ticket in the slot and be sure to pick it up again after you walk through.
• The airport station is at the end of the line, so board any train.
• Get off the train at Hakata station, which is two stops from the airport.
• As you exit the ticket gate, place your ticket in the slot and walk through (your ticket is not returned to you).
• Take stairs or an escalator to the ground floor.
