Traveling from Airport (Domestic) to Fukuoka University:
  • Follow the signs that will lead you down to the subway station. Purchase a ticket for 320 yen. As you enter the ticket gate, place your ticket in the slot and be sure to pick it up again after you walk through.
  • The airport subway station is at the end of the line, so board the train everyone else seems to be getting on.
  • Tenjin station, where you will transfer subway lines, is the fifth stop, and will take less than 10 minutes to get there.
  • At Tenjin, you MUST EXIT THROUGH A GREEN COLORED TICKET GATE, which will allow you to pick up your ticket again.
  • Now begins the approximately 10-minute walk through the underground shopping area to the Nanakuma line.
  • As you exit, look around for signs leading you in this direction. The Nanakuma line signs are coded in green.
  • When you arrive at the ticket gates for Tenjin-Minami station, place your ticket in the slot and pick it up again as you walk through. Once again, board the train that others are getting on.
  • Fukudai-mae is the 10th stop along the way and should take about 16 minutes to get there.
  • As you exit the ticke gate, place your ticket in the slot and walk through (your ticket is not returned to you).
  • Take the exit to the university, not the hospital. When you get to street level, as shown in this campus map, walk through the university’s main gate and follow the signs leading to the WorldCALL venues.
