We are organizing optional workshops by invited experts in various fields related to the conference theme before the main conference. The workshops are open to anyone and can be participated regardless of the conference registration. You can apply for up to three out of nine workshops, which take 90 minutes and cost 2,000 yen each. Some workshops are offered only in Japanese. The first course will start at 12:30 and the last course will end at 17:30 on August 6. Each course is limited to its quota, so tickets are available on a first come, first served basis.

We are organizing a half-day bus tour as a joint social activity that will be taking place on Thursday, Aug. 8. The tour begins at 13:30, and guides visitors through two popular places in Tokyo: Tokyo Skytree and the Edo-Tokyo Museum. It costs 6,000 yen per person and runs for about a total of six hours.
